It’s Spring Fund Drive time again at Yellowstone Public Radio. The drive started yesterday – Monday, April 5 and ends on Sunday, April 11. Their goal? $175, 000. Which covers alot of their costs, but not all of them. Which is also why, if you listen to Yellowstone Public Radio, it’s important that you pledge your support. KEMC (now known as, you guessed it, Yellowstone Public Radio) NEEDS YOU!
I’ve listened to YPR for years now. For a few splendid years, I even had a very popular show called “Stay Tuned! American Popular Song!” Listeners enjoyed the great American Songbook and all the players and singers who ever recorded them. Very popular. Very, very popular….!
YPR is the place to hear NPR, JazzSet, the New York Philharmonic, A Prairie Home Companion and plethora (I love that word) of seriously good local and regional programming, including the long-running Afternoon Jazz with Brad Edwards (who is a killer drummer). PLUS….you can stream YPR from anywhere in the world. Here’s how you do it:- simply get on the internet, go to www.yellowstonepublicradio.org and click on the LISTEN ONLINE button. Voila! A little bit of Billings right on your desktop!! Nice!
Since you can listen from anywhere, anytime, it stands to reason that you can pledge your support from anywhere, anytime. You can call YPR either locally: 657-2941 or toll-free: 1-800-441-291 or online: click on the buffalo; he’ll take you there.
I’ll be on air at YPR tomorrow, Wednesday, April 7th from 3 – 5 pm MDT, coaxing, prodding and reminding listeners to support their public radio station. Call with the pledge while I’m on the air and I’ll add $5 to your pledge. Just tell the gal or guy on the phone “I read it on Marian’s blog.”
Thank you for your support!
